Duct-tape Bowlling

 Go Duct-Tape Bowling.

  •  Go Duct-Tape Bowling. This one got my friends and me in trouble in our hallway, but if you're not in the middle of quiet hours and have less fussy neighbors, you'll probably be okay.

  • Set up some plastic bottles in the hallway. (I know what you're thinking, but plenty of things come in bottles. Milk. Shampoo. Soda. You'll find something innocent.)

  • Choose an appropriate distance away and toss a roll of tape down the hall to see who can knock the most down. Throwing is cheating, you have to roll it.

  •  It's harder than it seems, too. My tip? Don't do this during finals, and try to get your RA hooked early in the game.
Where to buy duct-tape?
  • Walmart sells duct-tape for $3.37

Where to find plastic bottles?
  • If you don't hae any, raid the recycling bins at each dorm.

Passing time while traveling...

Well, I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving! The interesting thing about this post is that no one is on campus right now! Everyone is home enjoyin their Thanksgiving feast.

Since everyone is off campus how about some ideas on how to pass time while traveling!

1. Whether you are on a plane, in a car or a bus you can sleep while traveling

2. Listening to music is always a great way to pass time

3. Playing Ispy is always fun no matter what your age!

4. My family likes to play,   The ABC game

On a long drive and desperate to keep the kids occupied for a few minutes? Hunt the highway for all of the letters of the alphabet. This game might just keep you from losing your wits on that trip to the in-laws—and no doubt, you'll need them when you get there!

What you need:

A view of a highway, street or town:
Ideally from a moving car.
Your shouting voice:
The kids will be thrilled to have the chance to yell
in the car without getting yelled at
Knowledge of the alphabet:
No, "LMNOP" is not one letter!

The object of the game is to see who can get to "Z" first.

To play, scan street signs, license plates, storefronts, billboards and bumper stickers for all of the letters of the alphabet.

Each player starts by finding an "A" and ends with ... you got it, a "Z."
Once each player finds his "A," he moves on to "B." Once he spots a "B," he hunts for a "C," etc. The first one to Z wins!

Now try the game backwards. Sound as simple as ABC? It's not!

5. The Disney game

This is a game my family created while at Disney world. We would get bored riding the bus from our hotel into the park so we came up with this game to pass the time.

There really is no winner or loser in this game. It is just a fun way to test eachother's knowledge of Disney movies. So here are some of the types of questions we would ask eachother:

1. What was the monkey from the lion king's name?
A: Rafiki

2. What is the name of the fox form The Fox and the Hound?
A: Todd

3. Who is Brier Rose?
A:Sleeping Beauty's fake name

Change it up as you continue to play. Make one question really easy and some really hard. It's an easy game that takes up time.

Well I hope these time consumers help you on your way home from grandparent's houses or on your way back to campus!

A Night Out!

With the weather getting colder college students tend to feel all locked up in their dorms and classrooms. Well to escape the stuffy campus go out for a night on the town! Do you like to dance? Do you like to get a huge group of friends together to mingle? Try going to a club in Philadelphia!

Here are some local clubs for those 18+

THE ROXXY

The Roxxy is a great club. I have been there several times now and can be fun for those that are new to
clubbing or regular clubbers. Here are some specifics about this club:

  • Open: Thursday, Friday, Saturday    ( From 10pm to 2am)
  • On Friday it is 17+ to party and 21+ to drink and on Thursday and Saturday it is 18+
  • Ladies are almost always $10 before 10pm
  • For those of you that are 21+ there is always great deals on drinks!
Roxxy is located at
939 North Delaware Avenue  Philadelphia, PA 19123

CLUB BLURR

  • Open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( From 9pm-2am)

This club is a 18+ to party 21+ to drink as well. I have also gone to this club and it has a pretty great vibe too. The music is great and the dancing is awesome with a group of friends.

CLUB TIPS

Both of these clubs have excellent reviews and I'm sure would help you to release some steam. However when clubbing there are some things you should keep in mind.

  • Never go to a club by yourself
  • Try to go in a big group, the bigger the group the better
  • Always have at least one guy in your group if you can, it keeps unwanted guys away
  • Only go home with the people you came with
  • Always know where your friends are in the club, AKA don't get lost or separated
Keep these tips in mind and you'll be fine and have a blast!

Need new music!

Music is a big part of the world around us. We are always looking out for new ways to listen to good free music. Recently I was informed of an internet application and I absolutely love it. It is great for killing time or just browsing music for fun. For example, I had a song from Pocahontas stuck in my head and I ended up finding the whole soundtrack to listen to! try it out!

How to Tie Dye

Tie dyeing is a great activity to do with friends on campus. Tie dye is great for guys and gals so get a big group together like I did with my entire building last night! This video explains how to do two different designs but there are plenty more that you can do.

1. This shirt is really simple. You dampen the shirt just as he does in the video then lay the shirt flat.

2.Then you scrunch up parts of the shirt.

3.Then add whatever colors you like.

4. After that pick up the colored shirt and place it is a plastic bag to sit for 24 hours.

5. Wash out the shirt in the sink until the water comming off the shirt runs clear. Enjoy your TIE DYE

Things to buy and where:
For my tie dyeing I just buy the dye and shirts at Walmart. If you happen to have anything white in your wardrobe that you want to add some color to, feel free to use that too.

1. There are tons of different dye sets to choose from. It all depends on how many people are participating and what colors you like. Each kit includes rubber bands, gloves and dye. However sometimes you need more gloves and rubber bands depending on the amount of people in the group.  Here are the different sets sold at Walmart.

This kit includes 12 colors and can make up to 24 shirts! A kit this large is for big groups to take on and master tie dye with. Also this kit might appeal to you if you simply want a ton of different colors.

This kit costs: $24.97

It happens to be the biggest and most expensive kit available.

This kit is what I usually use because the price is more affordable on my college budget and it includes the basic tie dye colors. It includes 5 colors and can make 20 shirts.

This kit costs: $15.99

It is the medium size kit offered and a decent price for the amount of dye you recieve.

This is the smallest kit offered at Walmart stores. It offers the three basic colors for tie tye and can make up to 5 shirts. It is still enough dye for a small group willing to have a lot of fun.

This kit costs: $9.87

It may be the smallest kit but it is most affordable on a college budget!

Enjoy your colorful fun!
God bless!

Work hard and play hard!

Hello everyone! College is about working hard, but it is also about having a good time. Have you ever had extra time and not known what to do? Whether you are a Christian or attending a Christian university for other reasons here are some ideas on what to do with your extra time. There are tons of things to do both on and off the Christian campus. Get a group of people together and try one of these ideas to fill a weekend or to fulfill a study break!

For this weekend have some fun with games. Every person has played at least oneboard game growing up. One of my faviorite games as a child and still today is Twister. It is easy an always gets everyone laughing.

How to Play

The referee spins the spinner, then calls out the body part and the color that the arrow points to. For example, the referee may call out: "Right hand, red." All players, at the same time, must then try to follow the referee's directions as explained below.

Each player must try to place the called-out body part on a vacant circle of the called-out color. For [example, if the referee calls out "Right hand, red," each player must try to place a right hand on any vacant red circle.
If your called-out hand or foot is already on a circle of the called-out color, you must try to move it to another circle of the same color.
There can never be more than one hand or foot on any one circle. If two or more players reach for the same circle, the referee must decide which player got there first. The other player(s) must find another vacant circle of the same color.
Never remove your hand or foot from a circle unless you're directed to by the referee after a spin. Exception: You may lift a hand or foot to allow another hand or foot to pass by, as long as you announce it to the referee beforehand, and replace it on its circle immediately afterward.
If all 6 circles of a color are already covered, the referee must spin again until a different color can be called out.
Strategy: Try moving toward an opponent's portion of the mat, forcing the player to go over or under you to place a hand or foot!
Being Eliminated

Any player who falls, or touches the mat with an elbow or knee, is immediately out of the game. (If you feel that a new position is impossible, or will cause you to fall, you may elminiate yourself.)

In a 2-player game, the game ends and the remaining player wins. In a 3-player game, the remaining two players keep playing until one player is eliminated and the remaining player wins.

How to Win

The last player left in the game is the winner!

Good Luck and Have fun!
God Bless.
